SCC Senior cricket – Pre-season schedule

G’day all!!

Hope you’re surviving the winter! ⛈⛈

The hard work starts in 2 weeks’ time, and I’m very excited to get to work with you all. The first few sessions are about getting the body to perform cricket actions again, whilst still hoping you can move the next day and then ramp up from there 💪

Check out the schedule, click to download:

There is a huge focus on a ‘united one club culture’ and building success as a club collectively, not just solely focusing on the 1s. The only way we achieve this is to get together and work hard!

EVERYONE starts with a clean slate this year, and training is going to have a big say in selection, so please get to these sessions and put the work in early!

As soon as we get to our outdoor sessions (August), you will see that training won’t look like the standard boring training, but we need to get good numbers for this to work!

I’m happy to start having Sunday batting or bowling sessions for those who want to get to work early (weather permitting), so please reach out if you’d like to book a session.

See you all Saturday night at the Ball Court and then at the 1st training session on the 16th!

Cheers

Leo

Hume City Council – Active Living Plan

Hume City Council are creating an Active Living Plan to improve the health and well-being of our community by encouraging physical activity and active lifestyles.
Hume is growing – fast. By 2046, we expect over 100,000 more people to live here. To keep up with this growth, we’re making this 20-year plan to make sure everyone in our community can get active and stay active in ways that work for them.
The plan will guide how we allocate money and other resources for sports, parks, and recreation activities in the future.
A crucial part of the process is engaging with our community to learn what matters most to them – specifically in five key areas, including: indoor sport, outdoor sports, aquatic and leisure centres, Sunbury and Aquatic Leisure Centre, casual recreational activities, and football (soccer).

Neil White inducted to GDCA Hall of Fame

It is with great pleasure to announce that Neil White, the 1992/93 Sunbury Cricket Club premiership Captain and Coach, was inducted into the GDCA Hall of Fame at last night’s GDCA presentation award function.

Neil’s time at Sunbury Cricket Club (SCC) was instrumental in shaping the club’s golden era, which was highlighted in 1992/93 where SCC claimed three out of four GDCA premierships on offer at the time, with a commendable runner-up finish in C Grade.
